“The shared experience of music traditions within the frame of European cultural heritage”. COMENIUS Multilateral school partnership 2010 till 2012

In 1998 Wolfgang Haak, the headmaster of the Musikgymnasium Schloss Belvedere Weimar, founded the Association of European Music High Schools (AEM). Until 2007 twelve schools became a member in the AEM: from Austria, Cyprus, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Romania, Russia, Switzerland and Turkey.
In continuation of the AEM the following schools started a 2-year-COMENIUS Multilateral school partnership in 2010:
» (D) State Music High School "Schloss Belvedere" Weimar
» (FIN) Music High School Kaustinen
» (LT) National "M.K. Ciurlionis" School of Art, Vilnius
» (TR) Ankara Anatolian High School of Fine Arts

Summary of the project:
1    All students rehearse solo and chamber music, which was composed in their own country, as a preparation for the stays at the different partner schools in order to perform this music in concerts played by all participating countries
2    All participating students prepare an English or/and German documentation on the origin of their rehearsed pieces of music, which will be presented to the partner delegations beside the different concerts
3    Each host school
  • offers activities with national music or culture to the participating partner delegations
  • offers the students the chance of joining language lessons at their school (English/German)
  • organizes shared public concerts and opportunities of presentation
  • offers meetings between the students of all partner schools in the free time
  • organizes the exchange of experience among the participating teachers
Mobilities:
